ALLISON - The Butler County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday approved a detour route to accommodate construction later this summer.

County Engineer John Riherd said some time after Labor Day, a stretch of Highway 14 north of the intersection with C-23, six miles north of Highway 3, will be under construction.

The detour from the south will direct C-23 westbound to T-24, then north to C-13 and back on to Highway 14. That route will be reversed for traffic from the north.

Riherd said the detour route runs approximately 14 miles.
