Clarksville upends West Central, Maynard

CLARKSVILLE – Facing a one-win team, Clarksville girls had to use teamwork to stop West Central Maynard’s one-girl show in a 55-36 win on Monday, Jan. 29.
After the Indians led 11-10 after the first quarter, the Blue Devils’ senior guard Kenzie Squires started asserting herself and she alone took the lead against coach Ross Timmermans’ team in the second quarter.
Coach had some advice for his team, according to sophomore post Janet Borchardt.
“He told us that we really needed to keep our arms and hands off of her because we had a problem fouling her,” Borchardt said...
