Emma Poppe was crowned Miss Clarksville 2019 as Pioneer Days festivities kicked off Thursday evening.  Kylie Smith was named first runner-up, and Emma Tellinghuisen was second runner-up. Cecilia Groah was recognized as Miss Congeniality. Cooper Jacobsen was crowned Little Mr. Clarksville, and Little Miss Clarksville is Kinsley Lehman.
Little Mr. and Little Miss candidates were introduced by Wes Smith of Iowa State Bank, and Carissa Schellhorn and Katie Wedeking introduced the 14 queen candidates.
Danielle Ison shared her experiences over the past year as Miss Clarksville and Butler County Fair Queen, and thanked the community for their love and support as she enjoyed fulfilling her duties–from spending time at the library with kids to riding in parades, and from serving as Santa’s helper to representing the county at the state fair.
“Being crowned Miss Clarksville last year provided me with opportunities I will cherish forever…” Ison said.
“I am beyond proud that I was able to represent our amazing town and our county.”
