TAMA -- Clarksville girls were tied with Baxter heading into the Iowa Star Conference girls' 4x100-meter race.
Coach Brandon Zelle told his girls they didn't have to win the race, they just had to finish ahead of the Bolts.
But the Indians out-did themselves by winning the race with a season-best by a second at 52.79, putting themselves ahead and then finishing second in the 4x400 to clinch the team title with 129.5 points, 11 in front of Baxter.
Kori Wedeking swept the distance races of the 3,000, 1,500 and 800 and Clarksville scored plenty of key points throughout, including second in the distance medley relay.
