Clarksville girls sixth in soph division at Dick Pollitt Go-Hawk meet

WAVERLY – Even with all of the changes at the Dick Pollitt Invite at Waverly, the Clarksville sophomore girls’ cross country team stayed steady.
The Indians scored a sixth-place team finish in that division out of 15 teams, led by a third-place finish by Kori Wedeking, running to 20 minutes, 36 seconds in the freshman-sophomore race in which she was fourth overall.
Rather than run eight individual high school races, this meet condensed it into four with the freshmen-sophomores running together as well as the juniors and seniors, even though the top eight in each grade medaled.
“We did that at the last meet in the last meet at Charles City, so it’s nothing new,” Wedeking said...
