Clarksville girls nab 3 top 5 finishes at final Wartburg Indoor meet of year

WAVERLY – A runner-up spot for freshman Kori Wedeking in the 1,500 and a tie for third in the high jump for teammate Emma Poppe were among the highlights for the Indian girls track team in the third and final Wartburg Indoor high school meet of the season.
Wedeking battled in the final 200 against North Fayette Valley’s Macy Niewoehner, who just out-kicked her in the end to win by six-tenths of a second in the distance event.
Poppe cleared 4 feet, 9 inches to finish in a four-way tie for third in the jumps...
