DENVER — A dream came true for the Clarksville girls’ basketball team.
Something the Indians have been working for since they were in middle school became a reality with a 55-20 Class 1A Region 2 final win over North Butler at the Denver Athletic Complex on Monday, Feb. 18.
“It’s pretty exciting because it’s been our goal since eighth grade and we really wanted this,” junior guard Chloe Ross said. “It’s satisfying to get the win.”
Junior forward Emma Poppe added, “It’s amazing, it feels incredible. There’s not a feeling like it, just being surrounded by your friends being so happy in that moment.”
The full story and another story and photos will run in both editions of the Clarksville Star and Butler County Tribune-Journal.
