Clarksville earns IGCA all-state spots

DES MOINES – Leading the Clarksville softball team to a Class 1A state runner-up finish, freshman pitcher Kori Wedeking was honored by being named to the Iowa Girls Coaches Association first team all-state squad.
With a 23-1 record and a miniscule 0.65 ERA in the circle, Wedeking finished sixth in the entire state among ERA leaders, two were from state championship team Kee, two more were from 3A title team Davenport Assumption and the other was North Butler’s Taylor Graven.
She struck out 199 batters.
Eighth grade shortstop Cheyenne Behrends was named to the Class 1A second team.
