The Clarksville Church of Christ Vacation Bible School was in full swing from July 31 to August 4, with children learning the camp’s theme: how to “Live Love.”
Deb White, who worked to organize the event, said VBS averaged 50 children each day. They studied what love does and memorized music and Bible verses. They also put their words into action by making kits to send to children in Uganda to help in the fight against jiggers, (sand fleas that hurt children’s feet).
“[Showing] God’s love is the very best thing you can do,” White said.
Pastor Val Swinton served as a VBS teacher. He taught children about how to live out Christ’s love, how to treat others and the Lord’s prayer.
