Clarksville RAGBRAI committee will plan for the pass through on Thursday, July 24.

Over 10,000 riders are expected to visit during Des Moines Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa.  Clarksville will be the final stop for riders on day five of the weeklong journey. Waverly is the overnight town, while cyclists start the day in Mason City.

RAGBRAI was last in town four years when riders visited for a breakfast break. This year, organizers are expecting bikers to start into town around, with masses arriving in the early- to mid-afternoon.

RAGBRAI held a daylong training meeting in Mason City recently where local committee representatives attended.
