Chickens in Clarksville

A Clarksville resident, Wendy Brooks, asked the council at their November 6 meeting to consider changing or amending the city ordinance to allow fowl within the city limits of Clarksville.
     “I know many people who do [have fowl]. I would like to, but can’t intentionally do something I know is against the law,” Brooks said.
     She said the city ordinance does not allow for chickens or ducks.
     Councilman Travis Sterken said a lot of towns have an ordinance that states people can have up to 10 chickens—and no roosters.
