Cats sweep Mallards to take control of league

Great pitching and key hits helped the Allison Cats sweep Fort Atkinson Sunday.

The Mallards were tied with the Cats atop the league standings, before the home squad took both games, 8-1 and 5-1.

“We are improving every week, which is perfect as we try and wrap up a title and hopefully head to the state tournament,” said Collin Freesemann, the Cats’ head coach. “We need to continue to pitch well and hit well to assure ourselves of the opportunity to represent our league in the state tournament.”
