Clarksville school staff have raised enough funds to fund four $225 scholarships to help seniors with college expenses next year through their Casual for a Cause program, new this semester.
“Casual for a Cause is a great idea. One hundred percent of the money collected will go back to the students via scholarships,” said Principal Eric Eckerman. “So proud of how many of staff chose to participate.”
Each of the 36 participating staff members donated $25 toward the scholarship fund, and in return get to wear jeans on Fridays.
“It’s been an excellent way to give back to our students, and we hope to continue the program in future years to come,” said counselor Tonya Poppe.
