CAL leads all of first set in sweep by Clarksville

LATIMER – CAL started this match on a roll.
The Cadets got out of the gates 4-0, led by as much as 11-3, and in spite of a couple of Clarksville runs, had a 20-16 advantage late. In fact, coach Brittni Miller’s team had set point in the opener three times and wasn’t able to finish.
The momentum shifted after that as the Indians came to Latimer and swept the Cadets, 29-27, 25-13, 25-14 on Thursday, Aug. 31.
“It was huge,” Clarksville coach Brandon Zelle said. “We had to fight backin that first set..."
