ALLISON — The Butler County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, Jan. 17, heard concerns about noise from a local business and a road construction project planned for the summer.
Allen Mulder, who lives one half mile north of the Sinclair Elevator, two miles east of Parkersburg, expressed concerns about noise that the business creates with its roller mill and fans. He said the noise in constant on weekdays and can sometimes be heard miles away.
Supervisor Tim Heidenwirth asked Mulder what could be done about the issue and he wondered if it would be possible to put some sort of muffler on the fans or point them in another direction.
Mulder said the fans originally pointed a different direction but were turned after another area resident complained. Supervisors Greg Barnett and Rusty Eddy both said they have dealings with leaders of the company and said they would express Mulder’s concerns.
