ALLISON - Butler County Farm Bureau held its 99th annual meeting Monday to discuss what issues county members would like to see addressed at the federal, state and local levels.

The board discussed, then approved a list of nearly 20 legislative priorities. Topics ranged from invasive weed control to CRP grazing.

President Brad Feckers said the list was derived from opinionnaires sent in from its members. Feckers said the questionnaires and the annual meeting help board members plan a course of action and decide which topics need addressed.

“If we have overlooked or overseen someone’s voice, it’s a good way to bring the issue to our attention and get the ball rolling,” he said. “If you have an issue, you can address the board and we can get it on the agenda to bring to delegates in Iowa.”
