Butler’s farms recognized as state environmental leaders

Two Butler County farms were presented the Iowa Farm Environmental Leader Award recently at the State Fair.

Iowa DNR Director Chuck Gipp, Gov. Terry Branstad and Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey recognized Bristow residents Dennis and Merlette Cassman and Waterloo citizens Eric Locke and Mason Moore as leaders in farm management practices.
