Business spotlight: The Crafty Quilter

Creating barn quilts and decorative signs is more a passion than a job for The Crafty Quilter Karmella Heuer of Clarksville.
     Heuer enjoys seeing barn quilts as she drives through the countryside, and two years ago she decided to take a class to learn how to create them. Before long, she was making—and selling—her own barn quilts.
     Barn quilts and decorative signs are always in stock, and she takes custom orders.
     “It’s guaranteed to withstand the Iowa weather, and it’s made with love,” Heuer said. “Anything I make is made like it’s for myself.”
