Beaver Creek Band

Old time country, bluegrass and gospel favorites drew over 150 to Clarksville’s Reading Park on Sunday evening to listen to Beaver Creek Band.
     The band, with Floyd Junker as lead singer, Brett Vette on the banjo, Jeff Junker playing bass, Ryan Vette with a guitar, Kim Miller on metal and Trent Poppe on guitar and mandolin, has a long tradition of providing good music to the area.
     “I’ve been playing with the gang almost 40 years now,” Floyd Junker said.
     They started out as just a bluegrass band—a couple friends who liked to play dobro and guitar. Junker’s nephew played the banjo, and they all lived near Beaver Creek, thus the name.
