Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Engineering hydraulic cylinders for Terex Cranes and other big implement enterprises for pay, Duane Klipping is far removed from the manufacturing world in his spare time.

Finding natural scenery in his home county of Butler, the Bristow resident shoots photos of everyday life that few of us take the time to notice. For instance, Klipping spent Saturday morning at a Heery Woods boat loading dock. With one of his camera tripod legs dipping into the river, he took panoramic images every 25 seconds of the sun climbing over the 1914 railroad bridge.
