Bearcats survive Rockford

GREENE – Leading 29-18 heading into the fourth quarter, the final eight minutes were anything but easy for North Butler’s girls’ basketball team against a defensive-minded Rockford squad.
An 11-0 run aided by six forced turnovers and four missed shots in four minutes, 20 seconds to start the fourth quarter tied the game at 29 and the Lady Warriors momentarily took the lead before coach Megan Neuendorf’s team managed to pull out the 33-32 win on Friday, Jan. 5.
Freshman Madison Clipperton hit a basket to end the 11-0 run and put the Bearcats ahead at 31-29 with 3:40 remaining, but Rockford’s Morgan Thieman answered on the other end as the Lady Warriors got their first and only lead of the game at 32-31 with 2:24 left.
“I was just hoping we could pull it out and finish it,” Neuendorf said...
