Bearcats suffer road loss to Grundy Center

GRUNDY CENTER – A back-and-forth first quarter in which neither team could get anything going, turned on a dime seemingly when North Butler was on the brink of scoring against Grundy Center.
A fumble on a field goal attempt changed the whole outlook of this Class A District 3 game on Friday, Oct. 13 in an eventual 47-0 loss.
“We played a great first quarter of football,” North Butler coach Travis Miller said. “Both offensive and defensive, just punting the ball back and forth, trading field position. I thought the guys came out and played great. It would have been nice to punch it in right there. We had a play-action pass that we didn’t quite run the right direction, so it didn’t work. We had a field goal set up and went for a fake..."
