Bearcats nearly perfect at home quad

GREENE – Finishing 2-1 for the night and almost taking an always-formidable Lake Mills team to a third set, North Butler’s volleyball team showed hustle throughout on Tuesday, Oct. 9.
The Bearcats opened with an easy sweep of Nashua-Plainfield, won a close match with Hampton-Dumont and led Lake Mills 19-12 while down a set before succumbing, 21-14, 21-19.
“I think we played well,” North Butler coach Laura Schwickerath said. “I thought we took care of business when we needed to. I thought we competed and believed that we could beat a tough Lake Mills team..."
