Bearcats earn first win of season

ALLISON – Aggressive base running helped North Butler’s softball team notch its first win of the season, an 11-6 battle with Osage at the Allison ball fields on Thursday, May 24.
The Bearcats combined for 25 hits of Green Devil pitching and was able to hold off the visitors defensively to improve to 1-1.
“It’s good with this group,” North Butler coach Jeff Stirling said. “We’ve got a lot of new moving parts in it, and we’ve got Morgan Arjes hurt so we’ve especially got a lot of moving parts. So, it’s good (to get the win)..."
