Bearcats both seventh in TIC East meet

GREENE – Runner-up finishes – one each for the North Butler boys and the girls – was the best showing for North Butler’s track and field teams as the Bearcats hosted the 2019 Top of Iowa East Conference meet for the first time in Greene.
Freshman Kolben Miller took advantage of the favorites in the high jump sitting the event out with a sore hamstring and went 5 feet, 8 inches to claim silver in the conference meet.
“I was very happy with Kolben in his high jump,” boys’ coach Kirk Clark said. “His highest has been the 5-8 mark all season and he has been working hard to get to that 5-10 mark and beyond for a chance to make it to state..."
