Nearly 180 were served at the Allison Lions Fish Fry on Saturday, March 4 at The AMVETS building, which is a new location for the fish fries. 42 were “carry outs.” Many thanks to all who support the Lions in their efforts to provide eye screening to all Iowa pre-school children, local scholarships, and support to the Lions State Lions Foundation which includes assisting the blind and deaf.
Lions shown here served the delicious meal. From left, Brad Hansen kept the serving line well stocked with the quality fish that all customers raved about. Other Lions were Nancy Davies, Wilbur Cordes, Chris Graser. Silver Cord North Butler student Shelby Graser and future Lion member, Faye Dewey, also assisted in serving the meal. Being served are Mary and Dave Smith, Allison, who were some of the first customers to enjoy lots of food and fellowship. (Photo submitted by Duane Feltz, Allison Lions)
