ACKLEY – A weather-shortened 38-0 victory was captured by the AGWSR football team, blanking Clarksville on a rain-soaked field here Friday during Eight-Player, District 2 action.
The two teams battled in rainy conditions from a light-mist all the way to a downpour and everything in-between for nearly three quarters. Lightning was spotted with 2:58 showing in the third quarter, delaying the game until Clarksville coach Adam Anthony agreed to call it.
The Cougars piled up 24 first quarter points to gain control of the contest and owned the 38-0 advantage at the break.
