Accident on C13

Brandy Hayner, 28, of Shell Rock was injured in a single-car accident Sunday on C13, a half mile east of Greene.
     According to the Iowa State Patrol Crash Report, while driving west on C13 toward Greene, the driver lost control of the vehicle and entered the north ditch; the vehicle overturned several times and came to rest in a corn field on its wheels. A preliminary investigation shows the driver was driving very erratically before the crash.
     Hayner was airlifted to UNI Hospitals. According to the Floyd County Sheriff’s Facebook page, another subject fled the scene. After a two-hour search, the second subject was located at a nearby residence.
