4th of July Parade in Shell Rock

Independence Day drew crowds from surrounding towns to Shell Rock for fireworks on July 3 and the much-anticipated parade on July 4.
The 2017 Grand Marshal was Shell Rock Dennis Pfadenhauer, who was recognized for being one of the most dedicated supporters of the 4th of July celebration.
Shell Rock royalty Miss Shell Rock Karlie Wosepka, Little Miss Shell Rock Hayden VanAuken and Little Mr. Shell Rock Teagan Miller, as well as Miss Shell Rock runner-up Madalyn DeBoer, rode in the parade.
The Shell Rock Music Association sang their way down the streets on a float, and the Shell Rock, Clarksville, Allison, Waverly, New Hartford, Plainfield, Bristow, Janesville, Tripoli, Denver, and Readlyn fire departments were all represented.
