Serving as Butler County Fair queen may mean some long days on the fairgrounds, but if you ask Danielle Ison, it’s a lot of fun.

Miss Clarksville Danielle Ison was crowned the Butler County Fair Queen as the fair kicked off on Tuesday. First runner-up and Miss Congeniality was Miss Parkersburg Avari Everts, and second runner-up was Miss Shell Rock Courtney Reyna.

The 10 young ladies representing Butler County communities went through four different phases of judging Tuesday afternoon. First, they had 10-minute interviews with the three judges. Next, they were asked questions during group judging, and finally they each had the chance to answer two more controversial questions. Throughout the day, they were judged on mannerism and how they interacted with others.

The best part of judging day? Meeting each other.
